Emergency Preparedness Week is May 5–11 and this year, the Town of Wasaga Beach is hosting an Emergency Preparedness Open House.
This free public event is an opportunity to connect with emergency response organizations and agencies to learn all about preparing for an emergency so you can keep yourself, your family and your community safe when disaster strikes.
During Emergency Preparedness Week, the Town of Wasaga Beach is will also host regional first responders and the Canadian Armed Forces for a special joint "mock emergency" exercise. The joint training exercise will simulate an emergency wildland forest fire scenario While the Canadian Armed Forces won't typically come to town during an actual emergency, it's a unique opportunity for our first responders to engage in hands-on training with the best in the business.
